Meet Our VIPs of January, Najya!
2/17/2024 7:56 pm
ASE PTA is proud to announce our January Volunteer of the Month, Najya Khan. Najya is our current Dalmatian Nation Drive/Spirit Night Chair. Her largest event of the year is DND which raised over $42,000 for the school. However, that is not the only contribution she makes to the school. All year long Najya has worked tirelessly and behind the scenes to organize all of our spirit nights each month. This entails contacting and/or visiting all the businesses to obtain the best percentage return to the school. Najya has also served as room parent and room volunteer. The PTA is so appreciative of Najya’s hard work and dedication to the school.

paws on science
2/12/2024 9:37 am
We are very excited to be introducing a new program to ASE called Paws on Science. This is a hands-on science experiment that is organized and lead by parent volunteers. To ensure the success of this program, we need parents to help in every classroom on the day of the grade level experiment. Every grade level has an assigned day, so you are welcome to sign up for more than one grade level if you have children in multiple grades. All materials will be provided to you on the day of the experiment. Also, there will be training sessions for all parent volunteers to help prepare them for the experiment. Please remember that all parent volunteers must have a completed FBISD background check completed in order to volunteer. Click on the link below for more information and to sign up. We hope to see you there.

Calling all third grade artists!
1/29/2024 8:45 am
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Agricultural Committee hosts a coloring contest for third grade artists. Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Levermann have sent home a booklet with your child. If your child would like to be included in the contest, the coloring page of the booklet must be returned signed by Friday, February 2.
Students are encouraged to be creative on the last page of the booklet they receive. The prize of the contest is a chance to win grounds passes to the Rodeo. Their entry could also be displayed in the Adventure area during the 2024 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Instructions for the contest appear on the last page of the activity booklet. This year's show is in March 2024. This opportunity is for third grade students and is separate from the School Art Contest. We will compete in that contest next year as a school.
Please let Mrs. Emi Smith Mrs. Amanda Levermann know if you have any questions. We can't wait to see your creative ideas.
Happy Coloring!
